Samantha is a qualified accountant and has been a Pension Trustee since January 2013 and joined LawDeb in late 2018. She has 25 years’ experience as a Treasury, Corporate Finance and Debt Financing professional gained in a variety of large Corporates, mainly regulated utilities.
She has expertise in debt financing, cash/liquidity management, investment strategy, financial risk management and Corporate Finance.
She is focused on ESG integration into investments and on improving member engagement and communications through digital solutions, e.g. Apps and member outcome solutions.
She also acts as a NED of The Guinness Partnership (one of the largest Housing Associations) and Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee and Pensions Committee.
Jordan is a Sustainable Investment Consultant at Barnett Waddingham. He is heavily involved in both providing a sustainable research capability and helping clients formulate, develop and implement their sustainable investment aims. Sustainability means different things to different clients. As such, Jordan focuses on developing pragmatic solutions which consider both risk and opportunity, to allow clients to best incorporate sustainability into their investment frameworks
Antony Marsden is Head of Governance and Stewardship at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2021. In this role, he leads the implementation of the firm’s governance and stewardship policies. Antony joined Henderson in 2005 as corporate governance manager. Prior to Henderson, he spent over six years at Pensions & Investment Research Consultants Ltd (PIRC), a corporate governance consultancy, in a variety of roles.
Antony has a degree in politics and international studies from the University of Warwick and an MSc with distinction in corporate governance and ethics from Birkbeck College, University of London. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has 23 years financial industry experience
Tom is a leading responsible investment practitioner with 20 years’ experience of shareholder engagement, working with both pension funds and civil society.
He has particular expertise in the S in ESG, focusing primarily on workplace issues. He has been closely involved in numerous high-profile shareholder engagements on social issues at companies including Ryanair, Sports Direct and National Express.
He re-joined PIRC in 2019, having previously worked on engagement, policy and communications from 2007 to 2013. During this period he worked with the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum on its engagement programme, including its successful resolutions seeking corporate governance reform at Marks & Spencer and News Corp.
Tom has extensive knowledge and experience of labour issues and was previously Responsible Investment Coordinator at the International Transport Workers’ Federation. In this role he led global shareholder engagement initiatives and undertook research into pension fund policies on labour issues, and investment in infrastructure.
In a former life he was an award-winning financial journalist.
